Encounters with Photography / fnac Brazil collection
A publication (book and CD) celebrating fnac's 10 years of presence in Brazil, with galleries in its stores dedicated to the rich production of Brazilian photography. The two books and CD showcase one image and an interview with each of the 40 photographers.
In the preface, curator Rosely Nakagawa emphasizes: "This publication presents, for the first time, this collection that has traversed Brazil from north to south over these ten years. Attributing a broad significance to this compilation, the exhibitions and the collection continue the vocation of Brazilian museums and cultural institutions to showcase, disseminate, and preserve national production, shaping collecting as an option for the research and preservation of the history of contemporary photography."
