I REMEMBER - LATENT DIALOGUES, ESSENTIAL AFFECTIONS is an essay based on the research of family photographic collections, identifying situations that have long transited in the image and imaginative universe of the individual, having already become part of their own past and significant reference for the present and future. Images of moments not lived, but deeply assimilated in the trajectory of this person through years of coexistence, contemplation. This appropriation is based on an extra-factual reading of the family photos and on the emotional speeches of the ascendants who starred or witnessed the scenes. Or even those who only lived with that reality and/ or that fragment of time. The emotional load is so big that the person comes to miss what, in fact, did not live. But it is not just about looking at the past. On the contrary: how does this repertoire affect both the present and future of these individuals?
Work in progress.
